Anybody used Riddex?

I am very embarrased about this issue, but I recently started getting roaches in my apartment. The whole building started having them (and I've lived there for 4 1/2 years without a single one) after the whole super's familly (about 14 people) moved into the basement. The exterminator comes every month and we spray in between, but they are still here. That's why I know I cannot get rid of them by just spraying- they will still run in from other apartments or basement. I was looking at Riddex, because it is suposed to repell them, so they just avoid the rooms where this thing is plugged in. Does it really work? I'm desperate, I cannot live with these nasty creatures in my home (( Please, anybody who has used or is using it, comment on your experience
